We at Technical Felts will match our expertise in baghouse solutions against that of any other organization in the world. Because when it comes to baghouses, we have solved every imaginable problem in the laboratory, in the field, and around the globe.
For example, the people who invented P84 Polyimide fiber initially claimed the fiber was great for acidic environments but poor in alkaline environments. It took just a cursory examination by our founder Dr. Abraham Turkson to point out to the inventors that they were flat out wrong. Because as a condensation polymer, P84 Polyimide is susceptible to the same acid degradation forces that beset Polyester, a well known acid-liability member of this family. That means this polymer is liable to break up into its constituent polymers in the presence of inorganic acids like hydrochloric and sulfuric acids, and monovalent alkalis like sodium and potassium hydroxide.
However, a divalent alkali like calcium hydroxide requires two cathodic elements from the Polyimide polymer to complete the reaction. This hugely complicated process is not easily accomplished. Which is why P84 Polyimide fiber is resistant to divalent alkalis like calcium hydroxide but not to monovalent ones like sodium hydroxide.
This is the analysis that changed the course of baghouse history. And it is the reason why P84 filter bags are now used successfully in lime injected environments like cement kiln and waste to energy applications where lime is plentiful. This is also why disastrous applications of 100% P84 filter bags in acidic-rich coal fired power plants were stopped. Technical Felts Company has several years of successful product introductions and marketing campaigns involving fibers, felts and fabrics around the globe. The president of the company, Dr. Abraham Turkson, has collaborated closely with Marubeni Corporation of Japan to introduce composite felts to Mitsubishi, Nippon, Kawasaki and other major Japanese original equipment manufacturers. As part of this program, Dr. Turkson traveled extensively throughout Japan, from Tokyo to Okayama, using the famous Shinkansen, and enjoying many Sushi and Shabushabu dishes along the way.
Dr. Turkson has also traveled extensively throughout North and South America, forming partnerships and introducing felt technologies in Canada, United States, Mexico, Jamaica, Venezuela, Columbia, Chile, Brazil and Argentina.
Dr. Turkson launched felt product introductions and conducted technical presentations in the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Austria. We at TECHNICAL FELTS COMPANY are now placing the several years of accumulated experience into the establishment of BAGHOUSE SERVICE CENTERS around the globe. These BAGHOUSE SERVICE CENTERS are centers of expertise to deliver the following baghouse services: . PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE . AIRFLOW MEASUREMENTS . DYE LEAK DETECTION . FILTER BAG ANALYSIS . REPORTS - INCLUDING RECOMMENDATIONS . FILTER BAG SALES TOPPED BY OUR APEX PTFE MEMBRANES . FILTER BAG CHANGEOUTS . PERFORMANCE WARRANTIES . 24-HOUR SERVICE We at Technical Felts Company have a thorough understanding of the physical, chemical and thermal processes in the combustion of waste, coal, limestone and other materials. And we have used this extensive knowledge to solve practically any type of baghouse problem in any industry. So we welcome calls from plant operators experiencing any of the following baghouse problems:
. HIGH PARTICULATE EMISSIONS . REDUCED FILTER BAG SERVICE LIFE . REDUCED AIRFLOW . HIGH PRESSURE DROP . CONDENSATION . REDUCED PRODUCTIVITY We will work with you to deliver the most cost effective solution available and in the fastest response time possible.
Technical Felts Company welcomes the opportunity to discuss service partnership opportunities with like-minded companies around the globe. Maybe, together, we can change the course of history. Again!
